A few weeks ago, while browsing the never-ending news feed on Facebook, I stumbled upon a post mentioning how overlooking small, non-crucial tasks really pile up and add to the madness in our lives. For me, it's a few things....cleaning out my car, putting away freshly cleaned laundry, cleaning off the dining room table so I can actually use it. After reading the post, I've become more aware of the seemingly less important things I've put off and how they've become central to my daily fogginess lately.
So, for a week, I'm going to tackle at least one project per day. Here's the master plan:
Friday: Clean out my car.
Saturday: Put away clean laundry.
Sunday: Organize the dining room table.
Monday: Finish decorating the apartment.
Tuesday: Call Humana to schedule an appointment to get lower premiums
Wednesday: Go use the recreational facilities at the apartment (work-out/swim).
Thursday: Get a go-fund-me page up to start raising $$$ for a baroque trumpet.
I remember reading that putting your goals and plans online where everyone can see it will keep you motivated to do these tasks. If you feel the need to reorganize your life or simply get more activity going during the grey months of the year, try putting a plan like the one above in the public eye. You might be surprised how much will get done. Expect a short report on the next post to see how well I accomplished my tasks.
